Wage mapping – Get a handle on pay gaps
Conducting a salary survey is both a legal requirement and an important step towards equal pay. Salary mapping is available as a feature of our HR system - but can also be purchased as a standalone solution. Whichever option you choose, you get a powerful system combined with advice from our experts. We guide you through the entire process - from job evaluation and analysis to documentation and action plan.
What is a pay survey?
Conducting a pay survey means that you as an employer annually review and analyse pay and other terms and conditions of employment to ensure that there are no unjustified pay differences between women and men. The aim is to detect, remedy and prevent discrimination in pay.

Legal requirements
All employers must carry out a salary survey every year in accordance with the Discrimination Act. If you have more than 10 employees, the work must be documented in writing.

Gender equality
Identify and correct unjustified gender pay gaps.

Attractive employer
A transparent pay policy increases employee trust.
Why do you need to carry out a pay survey?
The Discrimination Act requires employers to map and analyse wages and other terms and conditions of employment every year - to detect and address unjustified differences between women and men doing equal work.
Through a structured pay survey you will get:
-
A clear overview of the pay situation in your organisation
-
An objective analysis of equal work and work of equal value
-
A concrete basis for action - legally and morally
How does a salary survey work?
The pay survey starts with a job evaluation - a method of assessing the demands and difficulty of the job, rather than the tasks themselves. The aim is to provide a comprehensive and objective overview of the company's services and salaries, which will help identify any undue pay gaps before the actual analysis begins. The process can be broken down into the following steps:
Preparation
Grouping of equivalent jobs
Gender equality analysis
Action plan
Documentation
