We are Kontek

In 1934, Kontek was born. In 2024 we celebrated 90 years.

Key dates

1934

started family-owned Kontek in Stockholm

1947

a law was introduced that income tax would be deducted directly by the employer, not paid in by the employee. This reform meant that business really took off.

1974

Kontek moved to Ljungby where the head office is located.

1980

In the early eighties, the PC came to the office and was initially seen as a threat to Kontek's business. But instead of being put out of business, we adapted to the new times and changed our products to work in a computerised environment.

1999

the Kontek Payroll system was launched. A new generation payroll system that took the company into an exciting new millennium

2000 ->

Kontek has evolved from a software company to a specialist in payroll and HR process management.

Kontek's head office is located in Ljungby, Småland
